Summary of Role :

Technical engineering position with responsibilities in Front End of Line (FEoL) Reliability characterization, modeling and test setup, supporting process development and novel technology offerings within GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fabs that includes Early Reliability Assessment (ERA), pre-Qualification and Qualification efforts. Good candidates should have experience and background in conventional wafer-level reliability on advanced CMOS process as well as in the development and validation of reliability models in the Cadence environment (RelXpert). This position is located in Malta, New York.

Essential Responsibilities :

Reliability testing, reporting, developing reliability models and test methodologies in the areas of FEOL Reliability (TDDB, BTI, HCI, PID, GOI) in advanced planar and non-planar technologies.

Technology co-development working collaboratively with process integration and device engineering for process technology bring-up and for developing reliable technology solutions.

Define test structures on test sites and shuttles to support methodology development and qualification.

Identify and work to resolve reliability challenges on novel technology offerings. Methodology development may be needed to assess risk for new mechanisms which have not been traditionally reliability limiters.

Manufacturing support for existing fab product offerings related to reliability as needed.

Reliability modeling

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related technical fields.

Minimum 2+ years of relevant industry and/or research experience.

Statistical analysis skill and use of DMACS for data extraction and analysis.

Expertise in Cadence

Fluency in English Language written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters with 1+ years or Ph.D. with 1+ years of industry and/or research experience in Reliability. Strong preference for reliability experience in advanced semiconductor nodes.

Sound technical understanding of reliability physics and mechanisms on state-of-the-art technologies.

Strong understanding of device physics, knowledge of reliability methodologies, data analysis and statistics.

Experience in development/qualification/characterization of RF, CMOS, Bipolar, non-volatile memory devices.

Experience in SPICE model extraction with Industry standard models like BSIM and PSP

Demonstrated ability to work well within a cross-functional matrixed team or environment.

Self-driven, innovative, proactive attitude with careful attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.

Ability to work well in a team environment across multiple disciplines.

Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization.
